Idessea Ruth Dowling "Tina" Hawkins, Age 74 departed this earthly life on Thursday, December 24, 2020 at 4:48 am. A resident of Marrero, LA, Idessea was born on March 30, 1946 in Okolona, Mississippi. Her parents were Arthur Dowling, Kattie Mae and Charlie Fishback. She was joined in Holy Matrimony to Alton "TC" Hawkins and to this union two children were born, Anthony Lavon Hawkins and Antoinette Monique "Peanut" Hawkins Bush. She was preceded in death by her parents; four sisters;, two brothers; a son in law, Whitaker Bush and her in-laws, Thomas and Ophelia Hawkins. Left to cherish precious memories are her husband, Alton "TC" Hawkins; children, Anthony Hawkins and Antoinette Bush; seven grandchildren; two great grandchildren; two brothers; nine sisters; numerous nieces, nephews, other loved ones and friends. A Private funeral service will be held at Temple of Praise Ministries, 1840 Commercial Drive, Harvey, LA 70058 on Saturday, January 9, 2020 at 10 am, Pastor Nelson Dexter, Jr., Officiating. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Everyone in attendance is required to adhere to all restrictions. You must wear a face mask and practice social distancing. Strictly enforced.
