Ilias Agakos Obituary

AGAKOS, ILIAS 77, of Cranston, passed away July 6, 2011 at Rhode Island Hospital. He was the beloved husband for 54 years of Zaharoula (Vavoulis) Agakos. Born in Karditsa, Greece a son of the late Sotirios and Vaia (Koukoumtzi) Agakos. Mr Agakos was a foreman for the Homestead Baking Co. of East Providence before retiring. He was a member of the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church in Cranston. He was the father of Gregory Agakos of Cranston and Stella Agakos-Baltas and Vanda Agakos both of Karditsa, Greece. Grandfather of Ilias Baltas and Katerina Baltas. A Funeral Service will be held on Monday at 11 am. in the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church 175 Oaklawn Ave. Cranston, R.I. 02920. Burial will be in North Burial Ground. VISITATION Sunday 5-8 pm. in "WOODLAWN" Funeral Home 600 Pontiac Ave. Cranston. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Church Building Fund. www.WoodlawnGattone.com
