Isabel V. "Chabelita" Hernandez

Isabel V. "Chabelita" Hernandez entered into eternal rest on Monday, October 21, 2013 in Kenner, LA, at the age of 92 years. Born on January 9, 1921 in El Progreso, Honduras, she was a resident of her beloved Greater New Orleans area for 61 years. Loving mother of Carlo Hernandez (Denise), Geri "Pinky" Drudge (Bob), and Mario Hernandez, who lived with her his entire life and whose relationship with her was incredibly special. Devoted grandmother of Marcus Curtis, whom she raised as her own, as well as many grandchildren and great grandchildren who she deeply loved. She is preceded in death by her daughter, Irma Curtis.
