Isiah 'Richard' 'Ike' White Jr.

Isiah "Richard" "Ike" White, Jr. passed away peacefully at his residence on Sunday, January 29, 2017 at the age of 76. He retired from Avondale Shipyard as a sheet metal mechanic in 2001. Beloved husband of 17 years to Carolyn Peters White. Father of Nedrolyn White , Tanya White, Arzon White, Twynlette White Thompson, and Cordney White all of CA. Stepfather of Maurice (Molly) Stephens. Son of the late Isaiah White, Sr. and Rosetta Lewis White. Brother of Harry (Dora) White, of New Orleans, LA, Lawrence (Bennie) White of Los Angeles, CA and, the late Leola Singleton, Hazel Roubleau, Emelda James, Melvin White, Sr., and Rayfield White, Sr. Former husband of Geraldine White, also survived by 6 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. The family would like to thank the Physicians at West Jefferson Hospital and the staff of Hospice Compassus. Relatives and friends of the family also pastors, officers, and members of Canaan Baptist Church and neighboring churches are invited to attend the funeral service at Canaan Baptist Church 319 Killona Dr, Killona, LA on Saturday, February 4, 2017 at 10:00a.m. Pastor Henry Wolfe, Jr., Officiating.
