Jack George Hill Sr.

It is with great sadness that the family of Jack George Hill, Sr. announces his passing on September 15, 2018 at the age of 81 years. He was born on May 14, 1937 to the late Louis J. and Florence Bodin Hill. He was a graduate of Francis T. Nicholls and a member of the National Guard. He retired from Kaiser Aluminum, continued his career in maintenance supervision and also retired from the Army Ammunition's Plant in Nicholson, MS. He loved spending time outdoors, especially at his farm in Enterprise, MS. He was truly a "Jack of all trades" and a selfless individual; always available to offer a helping hand to anyone in need. Jack will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 62 years, Patricia Gartman Hill; daughter Jacquelyn (Karon); son Jack, Jr. (Chris), brother Louis (Beryl), sisters-in-law Betty Purvis (Kenny), Helen Coste (Arthur) and brother-in-law Jud Gartman (Gayla). "Paw" will also be fondly remembered by his three grandchildren Derek (Maria), Devin (Tonya), Darcy (Brittany); and four great grandsons Jourdan, Jaden, Abram and August Hill. He will be missed by all who knew him. A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday October 2, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at the First Baptist Church of Chalmette, 305 E. St Bernard Hwy., Chalmette, LA.
