I have tried to write something here several times, but no matter what comes out...it never seems good enough. I only met Jacob on a 5 day cruise he took with Ramona and her parents a few months ago. In that short period of time, I could tell what a kind, generous, funny, loving man he was. I could tell that he lived and breathed for Ramona and Blaze. Ramona, keep your spirits up sweet girl. Be strong for Blaze and continue to pursue your nursing degree. Jacob would have wanted that and I know he will always be with you. My condolences and prayers are with all who were affected by his tragic loss. RIP Jacob

Brenda, I can't imagine what you are going through and am so sorry that you have to do this. I will never forget Jacob's sweet smile and personality. He always brightened up a crowd. Kelley & Brenda, I am so sorry and sadden for your lost. Jacob was a fine young man and very proud father with a bright future. He was always polite, courteous & willing to help me. I will truly miss him.

Brenda and girls,
I am so sorry to hear about the tragic news of Jacob's passing. My heart is broken today....for such a fine young man went home way too soon. I have never lost a child, so I can't begin to even fathom what you are going through Brenda and girls....I have never lost a sibling, so I can only think of the pain you all are feeling right now. My prayers are with each one of you and I do think of you all often. All my love, take care of yourself and give yourselves time to grieve. You will have bad days some ok days, as as the healing starts to take place those type of days will switch from more ok days than bad days. Although, you will never forget Jacob or the pain his passing has caused each of you. He gave you all lots of memories, so hang on to those and treasure them with every piece of strength you have! Jacob may be gone from our sight, but not from our hearts and mind. Julia B. Maitland School faculty and staff members will always remember our very own Jacob Ward!
