Mel, I am so sorry to hear about Jim. You and the girls are in our thoughts and prayers. Jim was a wonderful mentor and friend but he was also like a big brother. I will always remember his kindness, laughter, smile, jokes and how his eyes lit up when he brought pictures of you and the girls to the office. I have no doubt that he will be watching over all of you and that we will see him again.

Mel, Victoria and Grace: I was so sorry to hear the news today of Jim's sudden and unexpected passing. I had to stop a moment to recall that we were friends for almost 30 years as it does not seem that long. Our conversations -- whether over a meal or over the phone -- always included family updates and I will always remember how proud and happy he was when we both shared our latest parent experiences. May you find peace and comfort at this time and know that many friends and colleagues grieve with you and also celebrate a life lived well and a life well lived. Truly a wonderful husband, father, son, family member and friend who will be greatly missed.
