Jim you were my best friend, confidant, lover, my rock and my husband for over 30 years. I am already missing you and all of our times together; but I know you were tired of having both Parkinson's and Lewy Body Dementia. You are in a much better place now and one day we'll be together again. I will keep you my love and all our wonderful memories in my heart forever. Thank you for sharing your life with me. You told me when we married that your children would be mine and together we've seen grands and greats added to the family. You were a wonderful Father who loved his sons and family so much and set the example for them all to follow. May you rest in peace my love. I love you. Your loving wife, Diana

Jim's Family,
I am so sorry for your loss. Jim was a wonderful man. I only knew him from the 159th. He was always smiling and willing to help. He was kind and patient and truly a inspirational role model. He was a fabulous chef and myself and the 159th Air National Guard members loved his cooking.

I will pray for you all in this difficult time. He is no longer suffering and is among the angels I'm sure!!

Diana;

I am so sorry I was not able to attend the visitation and funeral for Jim. I had one doctors appointment for 11:40 am in the Bay and one at 2:pm in Gpt.
I was praying for you while I was waiting in the doctors offices. Jim and you were in my morning prayers each day.
I also know Fr. Israel from the Center of Jesus the Lord in N.O.. I'm sorry I missed the opportunity to serve with him on the altar.
Again, I am so sorry about the loss of Jim. He was a fine man and will be extremely missed.
If I can be of any assistance to you, in any way, please do not hesitate to contact me.
May God take Jim to his new home and may the angels watch over him.
God bless you;
Deacon Lucien Moragas and Carol

A man who made such an impact on my career in the Louisiana Air National Guard. Being that we both worked in the munitions field and his good friend Ed Theriot (aka Booga) was my boss brought us together quite a lot. And his love of cooking and coonass dish's were world known. I was right beside him lending a hand for all the party's. But this one special moment I will always remember is Jim bringing me a special piece of boudin. Not the sissy kind with rice but the real BLOOD sausage. Such wonderful times he shared with SO MANY friends and even strangers. To Diane and all his family celebrate and pass a good time in his memory. And Jim "Laissez Les Bon Temps Rouler" Love Janelle & Terry Lemoine

It is the Airman
In Honor of CMsgt James A Israel Louisiana National Guard
It's the AIRMAN, not the pastor/preacher, who has given us freedom of religion and worship.

It's the AIRMAN, not the reporter, who has given us freedom of the press.
It's the AIRMAN, not the poet, who has given us freedom of speech.
It's the AIRMAN, not the campus organizer, who has given us freedom to assemble and demonstrate.
It's the AIRMAN, not the lawyer, who has given us the right to a fair trial.
It's the AIRMAN, not the politician, who has given us the right to vote, ensures our right to Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness.
It's the AIRMAN, who salutes the Flag, who serves beneath the Flag and whose coffin is draped by the Flag, who gives the protester the right to burn the flag.
ETERNAL REST GRANT HIM O LORD, AND LET PERPETUAL LIGHT SHINE UPON HIM.
