I'll never forget the first time that I heard Slim's music on my first visit to the N.O. It really did something to me, and I never looked at music the same. My fam and I copped a cd before we left and listened to it the entire 14 hour drive home. Though I never knew him personally, I can say that his realness truly affected me and he will be missed greatly by all.

When I heard the news it hit me hard so I can't even imagine a mother's pain. You have my deepest sympathy. God bless his soul. He really was on his way to the top. G.O.A.T. in my book. Always loved his music because he kept it all the way real.
