Mr. James, I´m saddened that I won´t get to hear that distinguishable voice and pat that belly again. You always kept me smiling and my belly full with some good eatin´!!! Will miss your pot of red beans. You always looked out for me and now you´re among the other angels. I will miss you dearly. Rest easy, Mr. James.

So many wonderful memories of and with James. First met him when we worked at the Avenue Plaza on St Charles. Everyone raved about the food he prepared in the the deli at Williams Grocery next door. Once we tried it we understood why. We developed a friendship that lasted through his time working at Igor´s to Mardi Gras´ on Jackson and St Charles. He was a man with a big heart. It was shown by all the times he acted as Santa for the annual Christmas in July charitable functions. Over those years he lived above Igor´s we always ways looked forward to seeing him when we went there. To his family know that he loved you. May God comfort you. Rest in peace our friend. You will be missed
