Preceding him in death were his parents; his brothers, Rob, Bud, and John White; and his sisters, Lillie, Annie, Ollie and Clara Lee.
Survivors include his wife of 67 years, Esther Belle Tarpley White of Abilene; his sons, James Ray White and Jerry White both of Big Spring, Donnie Eugene White and wife, Renee of Hutto, TX and Gary Lynn White of Buffalo Gap; his daughters, Belinda Joyce White , Theresa Marie Flores, and Libby Cooper and husband, Victor all of Abilene; a brother, John Clinton White of Ft. Worth; grandchildren, Regina Rodriguez, Jennifer Cupp, Stephanie White, Cassie Beach, Nikki Beach, Jason Edwards, Shane White and Casey White; and nine great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Abilene Fire Department.

My prayers and my deepest sympathy are with you Belle and Theresa and Family as well as to Regina, and Jennifer and the rest of the grandchildren. I will remember Mr. White as a very nice and kind person. Every time I saw him he stood quite but strong and tall. He was always kind to me and I know he was to my parents when they were alive. I love you all. May the Good Lord strengthen you during this diffcult and trying time.
