Jessie J. Wiley

Jessie J. Wiley, age 73 was born in Waterproof, LA and entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, April 13, 2022 surrounded by his loving family. Mr. Wiley was a retired Longshoreman. Survivors include his loving wife, Virginia B. Wiley; children, Keenan Blatcher, Kentrell Blatcher, and Jeremy Wiley all of New Orleans, LA and Jared Wiley (Shernethia) of Cantonment, Florida; siblings, Theodore Wiley, Major Wiley, Jr., Benjamin Wiley and Laymond Wiley; ten grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Major Wiley, Sr. and Mary Wiley Hyman; two sons, Jessie J. Wiley, Jr. and James Wiley, Sr.; a sister and four brothers. A Celebration service honoring the life and legacy of the late Mr. Jessie J. Wiley, Sr. will be held in the Chapel of Charbonnet Labat Glapion Funeral Home, 1615 St. Philip Street, New Orleans, LA 70116 on Saturday, April 23, 2022 at 10 am. Interment Resthaven Memorial Park.
