Jimmie Schivers Obituary

SCHIVERS Jimmie Mae Vidrine Schivers passed away on Saturday, November 15, 2008. Beloved mother of Donna S. Goode; step-mother of Jerry Thomas Schivers; grandmother of Anthony Badalamenti, Diane "Ticka" Dowdy, Glenn Dowdy, Jr., DeNeal Tolbert and her husband Michael, Faith Tara Goode, Jerrall Schivers and Samantha Schivers. She is also survived by 8 great-grandchildren and 6 great-great0grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, James T. Schivers; her father, Lt. Col. Joseph Lloyd Vidrine; her mother, Bessie Wallace Vidrine; daughters: Paulette S. Jarreau and Gwendolyn Diane Dowdy; son, Richard Barlett; and a brother, Danford Thornhill. Age 88 years. A native of Tangipahoa Parish, LA, she was a resident of Belle Chasse, LA most of her life. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend Funeral Services on Tuesday, November 18, 2008 at 11:00 AM at First Baptist Church of Mandeville, 1895 Hwy. 190, Mandeville, LA 70448. Visitation will be on Tuesday, AT THE CHURCH, beginning at 9:00 A.M. Interment will follow at Westlawn Cemetery in Gretna, LA. The family has entrusted funeral arrangements to E.J.
