It has been sometime since I have posted to you. It is not that you are forgotten. My heart bleeds so much. I try to think of all the good time we have had together. It doesn't make it any easier. I sit in the den and stare at your picture countless hours. It hurts so much. The house is just not the same without you. I went to Jackson's soccer game Friday and his school flag football game on Saturday, You would have been so proud of him. Thanks to you he is good in all sports. Even when you were not feeling well you would play ball with him sitting in a chair in the kitchen or in in a chair by the garage door throwing a ball to him. He miss you so much. I can't talk to him about you spending so much time with him. He use to beat you and I playing the memory game. It is so much we miss you doing. I try to make the best out of each day , it hard . My love for you will always be there.Keep watch over all of us. I know you are looking down at us and we are looking up at you.

Today would have been our 60th anniversary. I can remember Jan 1957 it was one of the happiest days of my life. Jan 2nd 2015 was the saddest day of my life. You meant everything to me. I know you were taken away because your work was finish on earth. U ,meant so much not only to me but to others. I miss you. It will never be the same without you. Continue to look down at us. and give us the guidance we need . You are our shining star. Missed by all of us.

Well other year has passed without you.Its been tireless and lonesome without you. Today would have been our 60th anniversary. I remember that day in 1957. we have had many happy moments from year to year. It will never be the same without you. People say take one day at a time. Each day it hurts more and more. IT will never be the same without you. The house shows you are not with us. I tried to decorate the house for Christmas but just couldn't do it without you.The same for outside. No matter how hard I try to do the things you like its not the same without you. you are missed at Jackson's ball games. You would be proud of him at his baseball games, The time you took with him playing ball really shows. He is good in all sports, thanks to you for playing ball with him. He miss you very much . You have to be proud of him also with his school grades. All the kids miss you. Well Ba, keep looking down at us. We are always looking up at you. give us the guiding we need to function. and may the light continue to shine on you. Lov yoiu

Well it is that time of year and Jackson has completed his baseball for the summer. Thanks to you he had a great season. You, playing ball with him each time he came over has shown. You looking down on him with pride I'am sure. I could hear u saying "thats my boy". Now with soccer beginning we miss you being there with us. We know you are here in spirit and looking down on us . We miss you very much and it is not the same without you. It is so lonesome without you. There isn't anything I do that you are not on my mind. God knows I'am trying my best to keeping moving but it is useless without you. I know you don't want me to be this way but it is impossible to go on living like this. If only I would have left this earth first. You were so much stronger than me. I know God had plans for you and you work was finish on earth. Keep looking down on us and guide us in your direction. Love you.

Now all we have is memories and and your picture in a frame. Your memory is our keepsake, with which we will never part.God has you in his keeping and we have you in our hearts.

January 11, 2016

It is a year and 9 days since you are gone. You are missed by everyone but not forgotten. My prayers are with you daily. It is hard day in and day out without you. I know you are looking down at me every second, minute and hour of the day. I am constantly being told to be strong. I am trying. I just wish God had taken me before you. You were so much stronger than me. I keep telling myself your work was finish on earth God had bigger and better plans for you. I guess I am just selfish not wanting to share you even with God. I ask God to forgive me for being selfish. I miss you so much. I ask God t0 give me the strength to go on until he is ready for me. Its an up hill battle without you. I know one is not suppose to question the will of God but, I ask why he had to take you from me. Continue to look over me and the family we will meet again, Love you .

April 21, 2015

You are home in Heaven,my love; Oh so happy and so bright! There is perfect joy and beauty in this everlasting light. All the pain and grief is over, Every restless tossing passed; I am sure you are at peace forever, Safely home in Heaven at last. He came Himself to meet you in a way it is hard for me to understand. I keep telling myself you are in Jesus arm and I am in the other just waiting for his call. I am trying not to grieve , for I love you dearly still. I am trying to look beyond the shadow of earth, and praying to trust our "Heavenly Father's" will. I could hear you telling me there is work still waiting for me , while you rest in Jesus land. I know when the work is all completed , He will call me Home I can't wait for that day to come to be with you again. I miss you daily.

God looked around his garden and found an empty place. He then looked down upon the earth and saw your tired face. He put His arms around you and lifted you to rest. God's garden must be beautiful; He always take the best. He saw the road was getting rough, and the hills were hard to climb, so He closed your weary eyelids and whispered "Peace be thine." It broke my heart to lose you, but you didn't go alone, for part of me went with you the day God called you home. I will always love you Ba, keep watch over me until we meet in that beautiful garden that is awaiting for me.

To Leon Mathieu and family,

It shocked and saddened me to hear of Joan's death. She was truly one of the shining lights at St Maria Goretti Church. I can still see her beautiful smile that lit up the room whenever she was present. I regret losing touch with Joan when I relocated to Shreveport. It was always such a joy to talk with her. She was truly an angel here on earth and now she is an angel in heaven. I pray that our heavenly father will comfort all of you as you mourn the loss of her physical presence.
Keeping you in my prayers.

Remembering her pleasant smile and greetings each time we saw her, Mrs. Mathieu was, and still is, a blessing to all who's paths she crossed. May all who came in contact with her continue to cherish the love and peace the memory of their experiences with her bring to mind each day.
