Lynn and Family,
As you can see from the many, many entries here, John was loved by all at DCTF/DISA. His smile, the ball cap, his unmistakable laugh, his 'smell smell' cologne, his giving and helpful nature, all this truly made our lives more enjoyable. I, too, was one of the lucky ones that received a foil flower and called John, my buddy. John set the gold standard on how we should treat others that cross our path in life. We'll miss you, John. Until we meet again - in Heaven.

John was a person who I counted as one of my close friends, and I will always cherish the memories I have from working with him. He was a genuinely good person, who was always ready to help lift your spirits, or just to spend a few minutes talking. I know that he will be missed by all those people whose lives he has touched over the years. Rest in Peace, My Friend.

Lynn, although we never actually met, we did talk on the phone a few times. I was deeply saddened when I heard of John's passing. John was my boss at DCTF, he was a wonderful, caring person who was always willing to lend a helping hand or an ear to listen and a sympathetic heart, always trying to help raise your spirits. I will always remember his smile. Now theres another angel up in heaven looking down on us, and knowing John, he will still be doing whatever he can to help raise our spirits and make our lives a little better.

I was terribly saddend to here of your loss. I worked with John at DCTF until closing. I am one of the lucky ones who got to know him and call him friend. His cheerful
outlook on life was projected to anyone around him. Heaven has another angel to look over us.
May god blessings be with your family.

Ms. Albers,
You and I met when I ran into John at the Sears store. It is a very tiny world.
Kelly, Megan, Michael and I wish to express our condolences. John is a good man. We really need that wonderful smile and sense of humor.
If DISA had known what they had, they would have made him the Facilities Manager of the country!

Please know that my thoughts and prayers are with you. I always remember Johnny being willing to fix things around the Burch house - not because anyone asked him to, but just because he wanted to - just to be nice, just to help others. And he would always have a smile on his face the whole time.

I had the pleasure of meeting John when we both worked at the DCTF in Slidell. John treated everyone as if he had known them all their life. I am sincerely sorry for your loss. John will be missed by anyone that had the opportunity know him.

I worked with John at DISA in Slidell and I want you to know that you could not find a nicer person to work with every day. He was always smiling and if you needed encouragement he was there. He will be missed so much. The world was a better place because of John.

I am so sorry for your loss. I worked with Jon at DISA for two years. He was a kind and humorous person. We would all stand out side on the smoke dock just laughing the day away. We spoke about plants one day and the next day I had an Aloe plant on my desk. He was so kind to others and enjoyed life. I know he loved his family and will be with you always. I even two years after DISA has closed I still have a little flower he made me out of foal paper. I was jealous that other ladies had a flower, so the next day I had one on my keyboard. I will always smile telling others at work about my little flower that I keep on my desk even today. God Bless your family.

Lynn,
I don't have to tell you that your loss is felt through all whose lives John touched. He is among the most giving people i have ever had the pleasure of knowing having helped me many times while i worked with him at DCTF. Never was i able to successfully compensate him for his selfless efforts. We will miss him greatly.
Very best regards
Daryl and Lynn Kling (DCTF)

I worked with John at DISA, Slidell until the facility closed. He was one of the nicest people I've ever met - always the first to lend a helping hand or share a joke - anything to make someone else feel better. He made some of us tiny foil flowers which we keep on our desk to this day. He found out that I liked Andy Williams and brought me several albums he'd find at yard sales or thrift stores - simply because it was a nice thing to do. I cherish my foil flower and all of the albums because I can't see them without thinking of John, and that's a good thing. I'm so proud that I can say John Albers was my friend. Go with God John, keep that beautiful smile you blessed the world with every day, and we will meet again.
