John Henry ""Red'' Cortez on Saturday, March 17, 2007. Beloved husband of Leona Noble Cortez. Father of John L. Cortez, Kenneth Cortez, Robert Cortez and Carol C. Spell. Grandfather of Scott, Jamie, Travis, Tonya, Kim, Hannah, Jenny, Allen, Jacob, Caleb and Bethany. Also survived by 8 great-grandchildren, 5 brothers and 1 sister. Son of the late Alma Myers Crockett and Alcus Crockett. Also preceded in death by 1 brother and 3 sisters. Age 77 years. A native of New Orleans, LA and a resident of Madisonville, LA for the past 35 years. Mr. Cortez was a member of The Livingston Gospel Singers. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Services on Tuesday, March 20, 2007 at 2:00 PM from the Chapel of E. J. Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 W. 21st Ave., Covington, LA 70433. Interment in Pilgrim Rest Cemetery.
