Dot, I sailed with the Jackson Yacht Club crew and remember fondly the "larger than life" man named Jack Dane. You, Jack and John III were always wonderful hosts for all of us. Remembering each of you on this tremendous loss.

February 1, 2011

Dear Mrs. Dane and Dorothy, I have such fond memories of swimming on Benjamin St and will never forget the summer Sunday afternoon when Mr. Dane sent Dorothy and me to Royal Castle on Carrollton Ave @ Hampson St. with a $100.00 bill to get 100 Royal Castle Burgers for the crowd that was at the house! You are all in not only my prayers but my mother's as well.
With love, Linda and Jean Diaz

To all of the Danes,

I am so sorry to hear of the loss of my "King" (of Nereus). He was the most wonderful King; a Queen could have wished for. His wonderful outgoing personality and witty comments made that night to be a very special and magical event for his "Queen" .
I will keep you all in my thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.
