John Daniel Estopinal

1963 - 2022

John Daniel Estopinal born June 5, 1963 in New Orleans, LA passed away on March, 17, 2022 at the age of 58. To his family and friends he was considered an "Angel on Earth". John was involved in We Care for Special People, JPRD Pinnacles, JPRD Loving Care and Special Rollers Bowling League, which was started by his mother in 1981. It is still serving the special needs population thanks to many dedicated people who saw the benefits and joy for their own children and those who participate. John enjoyed bowling, attending dances, bingo, and ceramics. John is preceded in death by his parents, June Triche Estopinal and Donald Estopinal; brother, Richard Estopinal. John is survived by his sisters, Suzanne Burgard (David), Michele Szymankiewicz (Raymond, deceased), Jolie Harris (Rodney), and Annette Estopinal; brother, David Estopinal; nieces and nephews, Stephanie Young (Keith), Stacy Brower (PJ), Brian Harris (Adley), Greg Harris (Katie), Rachel Kamlade (Ryan), Chris Harris, Sarah Cooper (Mark) and a host of Great-nieces and nephews. John was very proud of his family and all of his nieces and nephews. One of his favorite pastimes was staying current to their lives and activities. He loved attending family events and was sure to let everyone know they were special to him. The family would like to give a special thanks to All American Personal Care, including Julie Frentz, Darlene Calderone, Raquel Authement, Sandra Smith, Laverne Seaberry, Patricia Franklin, and Louise Brown, and also to Marilyn Joseph for their genuine love and dedication to John and the family. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Michael's Special School, 1522 Chippewa St, New Orleans, LA 70130. Services will be held on Wednesday, March 23, 2022 at St. Ann Church and Shrine, 3601 Transcontinental Drive Metairie, LA 70006. Visitation will be held at 10:00 am followed by a service at 11:00 am.
