John Joseph Gordon, M.D., on Wednesday, October 6, 2004. Beloved husband of the late Lorraine Zaunbrecher Gordon. Father of Kenneth D., Gretchen A., Craig A. and Eric P. Gordon. Son of the late Kenneth C. Gordon and Annie Walder Gordon. Brother of Anna Mae Gordon, the late Kenneth J., Herbert S., James, J., Ira T. and Oscar J. Gordon. Grandfather of Michelle D., Laura C. and Kevin C. Gordon. Mr. Gordon was a graduate of Holy Name of Mary, St. Aloysius High School and L.S.U. Medical School in 1955. A veteran of World War II, he served in the U.S. Navy in the Pacific Theater including time in Leyte Gulf, Okinawa and the Phillipines. He was Past President of Algiers General Hospital and has been in the practice of Medicine at Algiers Point from approximately 1956 until the present. Age 78 years. A lifelong resident of New Orleans, LA. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial at Holy Name of Mary Church, 500 Eliza St., Algiers, LA on Saturday, October 9, 2004 at 11:00 a.m. Interment St. Mary's Cemetery. Parlors will open Saturday morning at MOTHE FUNERAL HOMES, INC., 1300 Vallette St., Algiers, LA from 7:30 a.m. until 10:40 a.m.
