I have belatedly come across the news of Dr. Knauss's death. He was a unique and consequential influence on the critical and strategic importance of ocean literacy, advocacy stewardship, and wise use. His place among this country's giants of thought-leadership will be recognized for generations to come.

I can see from all the research Mr. Knauss made that he clearly acknowledge the importance of the gift we received from God, the oceans water. I will remeber his work when I read, "If only you would pay attention to my commadments!
Then your peace would become just like a river
And your righteousness like the waves of the sea."
I am thankful for his research and may we all learn to appreciate the gifts given to us. To his family, friends and all who read his work, may you receive comfort in these words, "With you is the source of life; By your light we can see light." Psalm 36:9
The one who gave life to all living creatures is certainly capable of restoring life to someone who has died.
