I WAS SADDENED TO BE TOLD OF JOHN'S PASSING. WE HAVE BEEN FRIENDS SINCE 1966. MANY TIMES OVER THE YEARS WE WOULD SEE ONE ANOTHER IN NEW ORLEANS AND HERE IN SACRAMENTO CALIFORNIA. NEVER A BIRTHDAY PASSED THAT WE DID NOT TALK TO EACH OTHER. I WILL TRULY MISS THAT CALL
