John McLaughlin Obituary

John Curtis McLaughlin born, April 14, 1935, passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 24, 2016 after a courageous battle with Parkinson's Disease. He was a Retired Senior Master Sergeant in the USAF and later became the National Chairman of CCCS. John was also a Mason and American Legion member, as well as a Toastmaster. He is survived by two daughters, Maria LaRoche of Goldsboro NC and Colette Meister of New Orleans, LA. Also surviving are his Grandchildren, Nadia Meister of Schaffhausen, Switzerland and Stephen LaRoche of Goldsboro, NC; his brother, Alfred "Pepe" McLaughlin of The Villages, FL; his sister, Alicia "Peachy" McLaughlin of Camp Verde, AZ; Richard LaRoche of Abbeville, Al and his devoted caregiver, Nicoli Seals of New Orleans, LA. He is now reunited in spirit with his late wife, Mary "Viv" McLaughlin and brother, Ronny McLaughlin. "May you rest in peace and dance with Viv in eternity."

John and Mary changed my life, I met them in 1989 when I started working at CCCS and continued there until 2013, without them I wouldn't be who I am today. My sincerest condolences to the family .. Mary Warhul
