I was stunned to learn of John's death at our Duke reunion this past weekend. He was a dear friend from our days in Durham and my visits to his homes in the French Quarter and the Garden District. He had that special sparkle that makes life rich and full. My prayers are with his family and friends.

Dear Barbara,
You are in my thoughts and prayers. I have so many fond memories of you and John. Please know that John will live on in the hearts of all those who knew him. It is comforting to know he is with God, watching over all of us and waiting patiently for the ones he loved so passionately to join him.
All of my love to you,
John L. Peschel

While John and I had not seen each other since my 1995 visit to New Orleans, Charles Nelson kept me informed. He will be greatly missed. Deepest sympathies to you, Todd and other members of John's fmily.

Barbara,
I will forever remember John with his gleeful, chortle. He was a clever, charismatic person and a brilliant lawyer. It was my pleasure to be his paralegal for 5 years. (My very first job). I am so sorry for your loss.

As the receptionist for a local N.O. business I would see Mr. Reynolds often. He was always such a kind man and was always pleasant to speak to. I will miss seeing him.
