John Conrad "Johnny" Reynolds Sr.

1951 - 2024

John "Johnny" Conrad Reynolds, Sr. passed away on Wednesday, April 17, 2024 at the age of 72. Johnny was born on June 12, 1951 to the late Horace "Bob" Reynolds, Jr. and Vernita "Verna" Mohr Reynolds, of New Orleans, LA. Johnny was born at Baptist Hospital in New Orleans, LA. He was raised in Mid City and attended St. Anthony of Padua, Prytania High School and Loyola University. After serving 4 years in the Navy, he joined the New Orleans Police Department, where he spent 30 years and retired as a Homicide Detective. He was then employed by the Kenner Recreation Department and coached, both football and baseball, representing his city's All Star Traveling Teams. Johnny was also employed at Crescent City High School as the coach of its football and baseball teams, until retiring as the Athletic Director in 2010. Johnny and his wife Nancy moved to Ponchatoula, LA in May of 2021. Beloved husband and best friend of Nancy Carol Thaar Reynolds for over 50 years. Loving father of Jennifer Lynn Reynolds and John Conrad "Butsie" Reynolds, Jr. Grandfather of Kevin, Anthony, and Sadie Reynolds. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Service at L.
