Rose, John Joseph
John "Jack" Rose, 82, of Metairie, LA died Sunday, March 21, 2021. Jack was born December 18, 1938 in Erie, Pennsylvania to Mary Agnes McNamara Rose and John William Rose. He spent his youth in Erie and graduated from Gannon College in Erie with a B.S.E.E. He worked as a design and test engineer for many years before becoming a self-employed Consulting Engineer. He was of the Catholic faith. He was also a member of the Delta Sigma Fi fraternity. John is survived by his loving companion of 33 years, Winona Dunn. He was preceded in death by parents and his sister, Marian. A Memorial Gathering will take place at Tharp-Sontheimer-Tharp Funeral Home, 1600 N. Causeway Blvd, Metairie, LA 70001 on Saturday, May 15, 2021 from 10:00 am-11:00 am followed by a service at 11:00 am. In lieu of flowers family requests Masses at St. Clement of Rome Catholic Church.

Jack was a good friend, a real character, a bit crusty sometimes, like most of us. Intelligent, witty, a fun guy..... lots of good memories. My life was definitely for the better knowing him and Winona.
