John Rush, Sr. Obituary

John David Rush, Sr. passed away October 23rd in his home in Bowie, he was 84. He worked many years in retail before retiring at 55. 

He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather. Known to many as Pappy

He and his wife Judy were married 55 years until her passing in 2016. 

He is survived by his daughters Shelly Rogan and husband Richard Rogan of La Plata, MD. His son John D. Rush, Jr. of Bowie, MD. His loving grandchildren Joseph Pecosh of Bowie, MD, Melissa Haskin and husband David Haskin of Welcome, MD, Katelyn Pecosh of MD, and Nicolas Pecosh of Prince Frederick, MD. His wonderful great grandchildren Jaxson Haskin and Harper Haskin. 

He and his wife spent time camping all over the place with a great group of friends until they had bought a place in Punta Gorda, FL. He became a snowbird for the winter. He had a love for motorcycles and hotrods which he had owned two of. He and his dog would go to car shows, he had a love for WV at heart, take me home West Virginia. A celebration of life will be held November 1st at Beall Funeral Home in Bowie, MD from 3:30-5:30pm with a gathering at his home afterwards. In lieu of flowers please consider a donation in his name to St. Jude’s or the Muscular Dystrophy Association
