John Schultz Obituary

SCHULTZ John Albert ""Bubby'' Schultz, Sr., born August 16, 1927, age 78. A native and life-long and resident of New Orleans, passed on to the eternal life at his home in Gentilly, in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina. He was the loving and devoted husband of the late Irma A. Schultz, the son of the late John Schultz and Josephine Miller Schultz. Brother of the late Dorothy Boyer, Elmer Garcia, Oliver M. Schultz and Elder Deakle. He was the loving father of three sons and daughter-in-laws, John A. ""Jay'' Schultz Jr. and wife Julie, David G. Schultz and wife Janet, Brian J. Schultz and wife Pam. Also survived by a sister, Gloria Schultz and brother William Schultz, seven grandchildren, Joni Schultz, Amy (husband Mark) Heim, Jill (husband Fred) Willhoft, David G. (wife Beth) Schultz Jr., Jay P. Schultz, Lori (husband Will) Grayson and Brian J. Schultz Jr., three great-grandsons Kristopher Schultz, Michael and Alex Heim. John was a U.S. Navy WWII Veteran, a NOPSI and Entergy retiree of 42 years, an active member and past Post Commander of VFW POST 7194, a member of H2U and AARP Chapter 4117. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated in the chapel of Lamana-Panno-Fallo on Saturday, January 21, 2006 at 12:00 Noon. Visitation will be from 9:00 till 12:00 Noon. Interment will follow at the Garden of Memories on Airline Drive. In lieu of flowers, the family request donations in John's name to the Alzheimer's Association Louisiana Chapter 3717 Government St., Suite 7, Alexandria, La 71302. www.alz.org/louisiana.
