John A. "Buzz" Sutherlin Jr.

John A. "Buzz" Sutherlin, Jr., age 82, of New Orleans, Louisiana, passed away on October 13 , 2024. He was born on October 10, 1942, in New Orleans, Louisiana. He is survived by his loving wife of 38 years, Judith Laws Sutherlin; children, John A. "Trip" Sutherlin, III, Ray Sutherlin and Jackie Sutherlin; grandchildren, Jack Sutherlin, Max Sutherlin, Win Sutherlin and Ray Sutherlin; and many extended family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, John A Sutherlin Sr "Jack" and Anne "Gann" Kelly Sutherlin; and siblings, Robert "Bobby" Sutherlin, and Kent "Speedy" Sutherlin. Buzz was an avid hunter and outdoorsman. He spent a good portion of his early years hunting rare species and fishing the Gulf of Mexico. He took that love of nature and the outdoors all over the country while traveling with his wife Judy in the Holodeck, their RV. They were able to spend over 15 years traveling through 49 states.
