John Thomas Obituary

John P. Thomas, Sr. a native of New Orleans and a resident of Covington went to be with his Heavenly Father on Wednesday, March 11, 2015, at age 75. He was retired from Norfolk Southern Railroad. He was a loving husband, father, grandpa, and great grandpa. He was the son of the late Robert C. Thomas and Florence Loyd Thomas. He is survived by his wife Anna Thomas, his children and their spouses, Lisa Thomas Davis (Ron, Sr.), John "Patrick" Thomas, Jr. (Carol), Robert "Chris" Thomas (Misty), Rachel Thomas Berthelot (Calvin), Jason Thomas (Carlene), and Joshua Thomas (Melissa). His thirteen grandchildren, and two great grandchildren. Brother of Gail Thomas Allemand, Michael Thomas, and the late sister Betty Thomas Rohrbacker, also survived by his sister-in-law, brothers-in-law, his many nieces, nephews, and other friends. Funeral services will be held on Friday, March 27, 2015, at Tharp-Sontheimer Tharp Funeral Home, 1600 N. Causeway Blvd., Metairie, LA 70001. Visitation starting at 9:00 a.m., followed by a service at 12 noon. Inurnment will follow in The Hope Mausoleum, New Orleans. Condolences may be expressed online at www.tharpsontheimerfh.com.
