Dear Dottie and family
Although we left New Orleans eight years ago, John remained part of our lives. He was enormously helpful at a very personal level, well-beyond any of his responsibilities as Chancellor. His kindness, humor , vitality and creativity will not be forgotten.
With condolences,
Phyllis and Marc Forman

John,

I know from my father (the late Crozet "Cro" Duplantier, former Tulane Director of University Relations and your Dad's co-worker) that your dad was a great man - not just a good doctor and an excellent business man.

My deepest sympathy to you and your family.

Sincerely,

Rhonda Terrell Walters

My condolences to the Walsh family.
Is this the Dr. Walsh family that used to leave at the Marine Hospital/Public Health on Tchoupitoulas back in the early 60's. If so I believe that I went to preshool with Kathleen. If so, could she please contact me. I lived on State St 2 blocks from the hospital. I was Rhonda Terrell.

My prayers are with your family. Your father was a great man for city of New Orleans and Tulane University.

John always had good things to say about everyone he came in contact with and was a true gentleman. His contribution to mankind will not be soon forgotten. We will all miss him. New Orleans and the world is better because of his presence. My sympathys.

I am deeply saddened to hear of John's death. I worked with him caring for Deed Newman back when I was a private duty nurse--in my former lifetime--and then, when I was the society photographer for the paper and I would see him at events, he never failed to greet me with a warm hug and a smile. New Orleans has lost a true healer, Tulane a benefactor, and he will be sorely missed. My heart goes out to his family for their loss. I wish I could be there to honor his memory.
