John Lester Webb Jr.

John Lester Webb, Jr., passed away quietly on Monday, July 1, 2024, at the age of 54. John was born on March 10, 1970, to the union of the late John L. Webb Sr. and Nona M. Webb. He was a native of New Orleans and a resident of Upper Marlboro, Maryland. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Julius Lafargue and Mary Webb and Arthur and Irene Terrence. John was a graduate of St. Peter Claver Elementary School and Redeemer High School. He attended Xavier University of Louisiana. John enjoyed a long and productive career in hospitality. John is survived by his daughter, Eva Pearl Webb; his mother, Nona Webb; five sisters, Linda (Melvin) Webb-Williams, Veronica Burke, Mary (Charles) Williams, Marian (Alvin) Webb-Fleury, and Christine Webb, and one brother, Timothy Webb; his godchildren, Byron Webb and Quentin Murray; and a host of nieces and nephews. Family and friends are invited to the memorial service on Saturday, July 20, 2024, at 10 a.m. at St. Peter Claver Catholic Church, 1923 St. Philip St., New Orleans, LA, 70116 with visitation beginning at 9 a.m. Rev. Henry Davis, SSJ will officiate. Burial will be private. Repast will follow at the SPC Ujima Center, 1019 N. Prieur St., New Orleans, LA, 70116.
