I was heartbroken when I learned of Joe's passing. I can not even begin to count the number of Boy Scout camping trips we had been on together with Troop 365. Only the deepest sympathies and condolences go out to Jessie and the rest of the Chase family from the Pettus family of Slidell and Denham Springs.

As Charlie Chase's daughter I was so saddened to hear of Joe's passing. My prayers are with the family, especially Mrs. Jessie. I grew up "knowing" Joe best by many stories told by my Dad over the years. From these I know that he was a fine man who was well loved. Maybe he, Daddy and Al can meet up and tell some of those old stories again.
