Joseph Durr Obituary

Joseph Henry "Joe" Durr, Jr. passed away on November 26, 2022 at the age of 88. Joe was born on August 11, 1934 to Joseph Henry Durr, Sr. and Amelia Brenckle Durr in Metairie, LA, where he resided until moving to Covington, LA in 1980. Joe was a loving husband to Elizabeth (Betty) Anne Durr, his spouse of 66 years, and father to Leslie Durr Larberg (Gregory), Julie Durr Roberts (Jack), Mark Joseph Durr (Cindy), Tammy Durr Robichaux (Andre), Eric Michael Durr, and Jody and Jeffrey Durr. He is also survived by his loving grandchildren Ted Roberts; Nicholas, Arden, Christian, and Dillon Larberg; Joey Durr; Brandon, Devon, and Peyton Radecker; Ian Durr; and by his sister, Gloria Durr Mascaro, and brother, Clyde Walter Durr. Joe was a graduate of Fortier High School and Loyola University in New Orleans, where he received his Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy. He worked for Katz and Besthoff (K&B) until opening his own pharmacy, Mark Drugs, in 1975. Joe enjoyed spending time with his family, reading, and hunting and fishing. A private family gathering will be held at a later date. Donations may be made in his name to Notre Dame Hospice or Louisiana School for the Deaf.
