I knew Joe from way back in the 60´s. He was my 1st boyfriend. We were 10 years old. We would go to the Aereon and Grand Show. He was a great guy.

I knew Joe from E J. He came in with the Kenner crew. I remember that he was missing part of a foot. I had heard that he got it cut off in a drainage ditch. But he kept up with everyone, and showed courage. And did all of his gym work. I just thought about him today and looked him up. So sorry to see that he is gone. I cut half of my foot off 2 years ago, and it always made me think of Joe. He was an inspiration to my long physical and emotional recovery. Thanks Joe for your courage and I’ll be seeing you again someday. Sincerely Sal James East Jefferson Class of 1971. Deepest sympathy to his family and loved ones.

My deepest sympathy on the loss of your beloved husband and father. I enjoyed knowing him for many years 1st on the soccer fielld when our children were young. Later at my work when y'all visited . The flowers you brought one day out of the blue touched me so much, especially when you (Donna) said it was Joes idea! Ya never expect it!
