I worked with Joe as a volunteer at Oshsner Hospital in Kenner for about a year. He sometimes told me war stories that interested me since my dad was also in WW 11. He was a likable fellow and I am sad to find out today, 6/14/21, that he passed away.

I worked with Joe as a volunteer at the Ochsner Health Center in Kenner for about a year. I enjoyed hearing war stories from him since my dad was also in WW 11. I ate lunch with him and his wife Helen at the hospital. He was a likable fellow.

We are so sorry to hear of Uncle Joe's passing. My thoughts and love go out to all the family. I know he was missing Aunt Helen so much. I have such fond memories of visiting with them both and especially remember the laughter. It was a pleasure to attend their 50 anniversary party; I had to be shown the wedding party's photo that viewed me as the flower girl. Love and prayers to all the family of which I am so proud to be a member. Love, Wanda Hetzel, Cibolo, Texas
