Such A Very Good Man.

I was very saddened today to learn of the passing of Joe. I had the pleasure of working with Joe some years back and thought very highly of him. He was a highly intelligent man and talented lawyer, yet was very easy and pleasant to interact with and who made the time for others. His beloved son, Nick, whom he spoke of often also was a colleague. My sincerest condolences to this family, in particular, Nick.

Early in my legal career, I had the good fortune of being on the opposite side of Joe in two very contentious lawsuits. He was a smart, disciplined, and aggressive advocate for his clients, but he was also incredibly professional, courteous, and fair with opposing counsel, the court, and everyone else I saw him interact with. I learned a great deal from him in those two cases, and am very thankful for the opportunity to have gotten to know him.
My deepest condolences to all of his family and friends.

Joe and I played on the soccer team at (LS)UNO, overlapping two seasons, and were campus friends. Maybe had one or two English Lit classes together. Wish we could reminisce. Always enjoyed our exchanges back then. Condolences to Joe's family.

I was saddened to hear of Joe's passing. I spent some enjoyable times in his company back in our days at C.J., and on the Lakefront. And I always enjoyed the conversations when our paths crossed in the years before Judy and I moved to Atlanta. We'll keep him in our prayers.

I did not know of a better more articulate lawyer than Joe. He was a lawyer's lawyer and an incredibly insightful person.
