Josibel M. Rodriguez

Josibel M. Rodriguez, 72, passed away suddenly at home in Metairie on January 16, 2021. Josibel is survived by her husband of 47 years and best friend, Luis Rodriguez (Freddy.) Beloved mother of Vianca R Strother. Proud Mimi of Alexis "Lexi", Heidi, and Haylee Strother. Godmother of Lee Kinler. Sister of Robert Mendoza (Charlene) and Sinai Quinn (Andy.) Josibel was born in Honduras, she moved to New Orleans in 1963, residing in Metairie for most of her adult life. She was a longtime member of St. Phillip Neri Catholic Church. Before retiring she worked for Whitney Bank's Corporate office for over 40 years. She was a strong-willed woman. A lover of fashion, people, and traveling. Josibel loved to get dolled up and go out to eat while talking about family, friends, travel, and life. She loved the finer things in life and definitely did things her way. She was preceded in death by her loving, devoted mother Juanita Valverde, father Napoleon Mendoza, and brother Johnny Mendoza. Left to cherish her memory are many friends, loved ones, nieces, nephews, and extended family. No service will be held as per her request.
