Jovanna Annette Varnado

Elder Jovanna Annette Varnado was born on January 21, 1959, to the late Reverend Joseph Dorsey and Carrie Williams Sandolph. On the morning of Tuesday, January 24, 2023, Jovanna Annette Varnado transitioned into eternal rest, just three days after her 64th birthday. She was preceded in death by her husband of 34 years Louis Michael Varnado. She is survived by her son, Joshua Antony Varnado and daughter, LaVonna Montrelle Varnado-Brown (James). She was Mimi to Laila Mikelle Brown and Joseph Earl Varnado. She was the sister to Barbara Jean Richard, Carolyn Ann Winston (Charles), and Joseph Dorsey Jr (Jewel), sister-in-law; Elza Joann LeBeauf (Donald), Joseph Christopher Stevenson (Lisa), Anthony Tyrone (Susanne), Vincent Tony, Roosevelt John (Alisha), Ronald, and Savern David Varnado (Linda), and Josephine Garrison (Charles), She is also survived by a host of other relatives and friends. Preceded in death by her brothers Marvin and Larry Sandolph (Janet), sisters-in-law Mary Rita Dangerfield and Theresa Julie Varnado, brothers-in-law; Donald (Renelda) and John Varnado (Lois). Family and friends are invited to attend the "Celebration of Life Service" on February 4, 2023, for 11:00 a.m. at Mount Calvary International Worship Center, 1600 Westwood Dr Marrero, LA. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. Apostle Terry Gullage, officiating. Interment will follow at Mount Airy Memorial Park 13635 Old Spanish Trail Boutte, LA.
