Joyce STAVALE Obituary

STAVALE, Joyce Arlene 84, passed away November 11, 2014 after a long illness. A true farmer's daughter born to Ethel Mayfield and William Magar. Joyce became the first in the family to attend college, earning a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from the State University of New York at Oneonta. She met her husband, Anthony Stavale at a roller skating rink in 1954. They married the following year and had three children. Joyce taught elementary grades in New York, and Rohnert Park CA., retiring from the Rohnert Park school district in the late 1980s. She is survived by her husband, Anthony Stavale; sons, Philip(Karen) of GA and Marc (Sue) of FL; daughter, Diane of Santa Rosa, CA; brothers, Edward (Virginia) of NY and Ken (Ingrid) of NY; and sister, Kay Korby of MN. Her extended family also includes Mike (Penny) of TX and Rick (Kim) of WS. Grandmother to Christopher, Brieanna, Kyle, Alyssa, Erin, Lisa, Katie, and Holly. Great-grandmother to Hannah, Elijah, and Justin. Step-grandmother to Christine and step-great grandmother to Brianna and Bayleigh. Joyce had much love to give and was loved by many. She will be greatly missed. Proverbs 31:10-31
