Joyce Torregano

1932 - 2022

Joyce Elizabeth Roberts Torregano was called to her heavenly home on Friday, November 25, 2022 at the blessed age of 90. She was born on March 6, 1932 in New Orleans, Louisiana to the late Joseph Herman Roberts and Henrietta Patterson Roberts. She is preceded in death by her late husband, Clement Godfrey Torregano, Sr., and her youngest son, Derwin Joseph Torregano. She was the youngest of four children and is also preceded in death by her three siblings: Delores (Dochie) Roberts Williams, Joseph Raymond Roberts, and Marion Roberts Raphael. Daughter-in-law of the late Clement V. and Lily Valteau Torregano. Joyce leaves behind to cherish her memories her devoted daughter, Terri Theresa Torregano, with whom she loved to travel abroad; her son, Clement G. Torregano, Jr., and her daughter, Twyla E. Torregano; 7 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, godchildren, and friends. She had a deep devotion to Our Lady of Fatima, and a special devotion to St. Katharine Drexel. Joyce retired from Xavier University of Louisiana where she worked in Library Administration for over 25 years in the Media Center. Relatives and friends of the family, Xavier University of Louisiana, Department of Veterans Affairs of Southeast Louisiana, Anchorage Alaska Veterans Administration, Kingsley Adult Day Care, Plaster Local Union #93, Lathers Local Union #62, and Lockheed Martin are invited to attend the Funeral Mass of Christian Burial at Corpus Christi-Epiphany Catholic Church, 2022 St. Bernard Avenue on Monday, December 5, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. Visitation will begin at 9:00 a.m. Rosary will be recited at 9:30 a.m. Interment: Mt.
