Kai Chin Obituary

Kai Man Chin passed away on February 25, 2024, at the age of 61. He was born on October 28, 1962, in Hong Kong, China to Shui Juen Lee Chin and Tung Heng Cheng, both predeceased him. He is preceded in death by his three brothers, Kai Yiu, Kai Yen, and Kai Yee. He also leaves behind a host of dear family and friends. My husband and I were introduced to each other through my cousin and have been married for 20 years. After our marriage, we had two children, Kristian, and Kayli. We lived a bright and happy life despite all of the difficulties that came with it. To put it simply, it wasn't a very grand life but we enjoyed it. However, cancer sadly caused my husband to pass away from us in just three days in the hospital. It was heartbreaking, but I will always love and miss him. Kayli-My father is one of the best fathers you will ever meet, not even being wheelchair bound stopped him from being a good father. I remember when I was a child, my father would put me in a stroller and push me around all day as he took orders on the phone when we were still running the Red Palace. He had literally spoiled me rotten whenever I was younger. Later, we stopped running the Red Palace. My father, still being the greatest father known to man, would help me with my homework and make me all kinds of food for me to eat when I came back from school everyday. He was the kind of guy despite all of his medical issues and general discomfort because of them to just be like "Oh well". Nothing really stopped him from achieving happiness in his life. Kristian-My father's favorite thing is to play Golf. My childhood was definitely not what you would expect from most children as my father had gotten MS which had caused him to lose mobility in his legs when I was really young. That really didn't change anything as he still tried to teach me golf in our backyard while he was wheelchair bound. My father was always a golf person so he had tried to share his love of golf with me. It was a little weird when he tried to teach how to play golf while sitting down, but he did a good job despite all of that. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at Greenwood Funeral Home, 5200 Canal Blvd, New Orleans, on Thursday, March 7, 2024, starting at 11:30 AM, followed by Presbyterian Services in the Chapel at 1:00 PM.
