Katherine Hynes Parker

Katherine Hynes Parker, born, raised, and lifelong resident of New Orleans (Algiers) LA peacefully entered into eternal rest on January 19, 2024 at the age of 94. Daughter of the late Curtis W. Hynes, Sr. and Edna LeBlanc Hynes. Beloved wife of the late Lynn E. Parker, Sr. Mother of the late Lynn E. Parker, Jr. and Mary Martha Parker. Preceded in death by her siblings, Edna Hynes Tierney, Curtis W. Hynes, Jr., and Edward H. Hynes, Sr. Loving companion of the late Anthony (Tony) De Salvo. Survived by a host of nieces and nephews. Thank you to Theresa Short, Curtis Hynes, and Mary Lepine. She graduated from Martin Behrman High School in 1946. She worked as a secretary at Insurance Companies until retirement. She enjoyed the Westside Golden Ages. Also, Bingo at the Ladies Ballroom. In earlier years, she enjoyed dancing, crochet, embroidery, and several other crafts. The family would like to express their thanks and gratitude to the staff of Compassus Hospice.
