DONNELLY Kenneth Paul (Kenny) Donnelly, Jr., age 20 of Alexandria, LA, died in Lafayette, LA on Thursday, October 28, 2010. A native of New Orleans, LA, he attended Archbishop Hannan High School (pre-Katrina) and graduated from Holy Savior Menard High School in Alexandria, LA. He was a member of the Louisiana National Guard and attended the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. He was known to all by his warm smile and fun-loving attitude. Kenny never met a stranger. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at LAKE LAWN METAIRIE FUNERAL HOME CHAPEL, 5100 Pontchar-train Blvd. on Wednesday, November 3, 2010 at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow at Lake Lawn Park Mausoleum. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 2, 2010 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM and on Wednesday, November 3, 2010 from 9:00 AM until time of Mass. We are so very sorry for your loss. I know Kenny was a very sweet, warm, friendly person. He and my son Stuart were good friends and anytime he was at our home he was always smiling and greeted me and Stuart's dad when he came in and told us goodbye before leaving. He was very sweet and well mannered. Our thoughts and prayers are with all of you in this time of sadness and grief. Just know that your son was a good person who touched many lives in his time here on earth, may that give you some peace. Shannon, Jim, Stuart, Anna-Laine & Christa Culpepper

The True Gentleman is the man whose conduct proceeds from good will and an acute sense of propriety, and whose self-control is equal to all emergencies; who does not make the poor man conscious of his poverty, the obscure man of his obscurity, or any man of his inferiority or deformity; who is himself humbled if necessity compels him to humble another; who does not flatter wealth, cringe before power, or boast of his own possessions or achievements; who speaks with frankness but always with sincerity and sympathy; whose deed follows his word; who thinks of the rights and feelings of others, rather than his own; and who appears well in any company, a man with whom honor is sacred and virtue safe.
