Larry James Hilderbrand

Larry James Hilderbrand, a native of New Orleans, Louisiana and a resident of Lacombe, Louisiana since 1995, passed away suddenly on Friday, January 29, 2021 at the age of 63. He is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Rhonda Urban Hilderbrand; daughter, Kelly Hilderbrand; and son, Jimmy Hilderbrand (Blair). Also surviving him are his grandsons, Hartley and Max Hilderbrand; father, Victor Hilderbrand Sr.; two brothers; one sister; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. His dogs, Molly, Snappy, and Maggie will also miss him dearly. He was preceded in death by his mother, Carmella Hilderbrand. Larry was a hard worker who loved NHRA, a true homebody, and a very dedicated father to his children. He was an active parishioner for over 26 years at St. John the Cross Catholic Church and a member of the Knights of Columbus Council #12989. He worked most of his life on the New Orleans riverfront, ending at Kearney Co. Inc. Larry will be fondly remembered by all who knew him. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation on Friday, February 5, 2021 from 9:00 a.m.to 11:00 a.m. at St. John the Cross Church in Lacombe. A Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, the SPCA, or the charity of your choice is preferred.
