Larry Joseph Moliere Jr.

Larry Joseph Moliere, Jr., age 78, entered into eternal rest at West Jefferson Medical Center on Thursday, April 13, 2023. He was a native of New Orleans, LA and a resident of Waggaman, LA. He was a graduate of Joseph S. Clark Senior High School, and he enlisted in the United States Army after graduation. Larry served during the Vietnam War and received numerous commendations which include, the Purple Heart with 1 Oak Leaf Cluster, Bronze Star Medal, and Vietnam Service Medal with 1 Bronze Service Star, to just name a few. After returning home, Larry joined the U. S. Army Reserve and served actively for 4 years. He retired after 30 years of employment with the federal government at several military bases. Beloved companion of 42 years to Patricia A. Robertson. Loving stepfather of Delicia R. (Seandell, Sr.) Collins. Devoted grandfather of Seandell, Jr., Shayne, Shyrus, and Ashanti Collins. Great grandfather of Jyi'Sean Robertson and Charm Collins. Son of the late Larry Joseph Moliere, Sr. and Josephine Marselette Leal Moliere. Brother of the late Frances Magnard Larche. Brother-in-law of Phillis R. (James) Magee, Hedda R. (Anthony) Frank, Kevin J. Robertson, Julius Robertson, and Darryl Robertson of Phoenix, AZ; also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends. Relatives and friends of the family and employees of Statewide Transportation Services are invited to attend the Homegoing Celebration at Davis Mortuary Service, 6820 Westbank Expressway Marrero, LA on Wednesday, April 26, 2023, at 9:45a.m. Visitation will begin at 8:30a.m. until service time at the above named parlor.
