Lawrence Magruder Obituary

Lawrence Herbert Magruder, Sr., 76, of Bay St. Louis, MS died on Monday, September 6, 2004 in Bay St. Louis, MS. He was a native of Amite, LA and a residence of Bay St. Louis, MS since 1988. He was of the Presbyterian Faith. He was a Veteran serving in the U.S. Army, 82nd Airborne during World War II. He was a member of the American Legion Post 139, Rotary Club, and retired from Bell South after 37 years of service. He is preceded in death by his parents, Ray D. and Lyda Newton Magruder, Sr., 2 brothers, Ray D. Magruder, Jr. and James Newton Magruder, and a sister, Betty Field. He is survived by his wife Anne Magruder of Bay St. Louis, MS, 3 sons, Lawrence Magruder, Jr. of Violet, LA, David Magruder of Empire, LA, Daniel Magruder of Katy, TX, 2 daughters, Susan Magruder Noonan of Diamondhead, MS and Teresa Magruder of Waveland, MS. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. A Graveside Service will be held on Wednesday, September 8, 2004 at 1:00 P.M. in Garden of Memory Cemetery, Bay St. Louis, MS. In lieu of flowers the family request donations to ones favorite charity. Edmond Fahey Funeral Home in Bay St. Louis, MS is in charge of the arrangements.
