Lee LeBlanc Obituary

LeBLANC Lee Paul LeBlanc passed away on Thursday, January 20, 2011 at the age of 91 years. Beloved husband of 63 years to Georgia Ledet LeBlanc. Father of Sharon L. Smith (Anthony) and Betty Lee Penn (Eugene). Grandfather of Anthony Smith, Jr. (Emilia). Great-grandfather of Christian Anthony and Sophia Emilia Smith. Brother of the late Ione L. Munstermann, Edna L. Hynes, Raymond LeBlanc and Nellie L. Pratt. Brother-in-law of Rudy Ledet (Vickie). Son of the late Mamie Bergeron LeBlanc and William LeBlanc. Also survived by nieces and nephews. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army Air Corps, served his country in the European Theater during World War II and achieved the rank of Tech Sergeant. He retired from Sizeler Companies, was a member of the American Legion Post 218 and Holy Spirit Catholic Church, enjoyed fishing and gardening. The family would like to express their thanks and gratitude to the staff of Serenity Hospice and Omni Home Health for the loving care and compassion. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 2100 Westbank Expy., Harvey, LA on Monday, January 24, 2011 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A Memorial Mass will be Celebrated in the Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Westlawn Memorial Park. Directions, 504-366-4343.
