Lee Youngblood Obituary

Lee Otis Youngblood a resident of Ferncrest Manor Nursing Home, died on Tuesday, May 24, 2005 at Methodist Hospital. He was 69 years old. Born in Tylertown, Mississippi and lived in New Orleans for the past 55 years. He leaves to treasure his precious memories, daughter Clara N. Nelson of Hammond, Indiana, three grandchildren Tamica Latanya Shaw of Hammond, Indiana, Consuella A. and Dwight R. Shaw of Illinois, seven great-grandchildren, siblings Laurean Smith and Federo Youngblood, brother-in-law Lester Ratcliff, devoted nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, a host of other loving relatives and friends. Preceded in death by parents Jasper and Sylvia Bullock Youngblood, sisters Wilma Lee Magee, Georgina Ratliff and Velma Twillie. Relatives and friends of the family; pastor, officers and members of Timothy Trumpet of Truth Church; employees of Tyler Pride Produce, Co., Metropolitan Development Center/Belle Chasse and residents and staff of Ferncrest Manor Nursing Home are invited to attend the funeral. A service will be held on Tuesday, May 31, 2005 at Charbonnet-Labat Funeral Home, 1615 St. Philip St. - 3:00 PM. Burial will be private. Visitation 2:00 PM in the chapel CHARBONNET-LABAT, Directors 581-4411.
