Leonard Simmons Obituary

Leonard Edward Simmons passed away on Thursday, May 4, 2017 at the age of 80. He was born in New Orleans to the late Mildred Burger and Herman W. Simmons, Sr. Stepson of Harrison Treadaway. He lived most of his life in the New Orleans area and resided in Kenner for the last 44 years. Beloved husband of the late Inge B. Striebl Simmons. Father of Stephanie Simmons Spizale. Paw-Paw of Gabriel and Dominick Spizale. Brother of the late Herman W. Simmons, Jr. (Lynn). Uncle of Rhonda Hall (Terry), Susan Schott (Mark), Michael Simmons (Mary), Karen Lott (Tim) and numerous nieces and nephews. He was a member of the Crescent City Eye Openers Kiwanis Club, where he served as President. The family would like to extend their heartfelt appreciation to his caring neighbors, the Rieder's and the Marin's, as well as Canon Hospice for their loving care. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Graveside Service at Cypress Grove Cemetery, 122 City Park Ave., LA 70124 on Friday, May 12, 2017 at 1:30 p.m. Arrangements by L. A. Oh Stephanie, I am so sorry to hear this bad news. I just found out about it from Craig Hefler. Was never aware of his passing. Hope all is well with your family and sending prayers to you.
