Leslie Jones Obituary

JONES Leslie Charles Jones died on Tuesday February 19, 2013, after complications resulting from a stroke. A native of New Orleans, he was a talented artist known as "Louisiana Jones." He was a retiree of the Orleans Levee Board. The son of the late Clarence Porter Jones and Angel Fleming Jones, he is survived by his daughters Troi Bechet (Ronald), Leslie Robinson (Andrew), Rachel Lewis and Stacy Jones as well as a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, relatives and friends. A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, February 25, 2013 at Charbonnet-Labat-Glapion Funeral Home, 1615 St. Philip ST., NOLA for 10:00 am. Interment is Private. Visitation begins at 8:30am.

I will always remember "Louisiana" coming into Ochsner Hospital the day our (husband Avery Miller) twin boys Jude and Julian were born, arriving with a beautiful image he'd drawn for the occasion! He was truly a blessing to all who know him.
